1966
Born in Berlin.

Studied philosophy, art history and Romance languages in Berlin, Rennes, Saarbrücken,
Utrecht and Aix-en-Provence.

1995–1999
Research assistant and assistant lecturer at Saarland University.

2000–2005
Research assistant at the Mathildenhöhe Institute in Darmstadt. Teaching and research positions in Darmstadt, Bergen, Nancy and Paris. Exhibition projects on German design, the Lebensreform social movement and on André Masson and other freelance radio drama writers.

2006–2009
Research assistant and visiting professor in the Faculty of Design at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.

2009–2010
Professor of art and design at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld.

2010–2012 
Professor of design theory at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau.
