Eleven everyday objects is an exhibition showing 11 everyday objects and 11 posters. The objects are ordinary, cheap and red. The posters are each explaining one of the objects. Most of the objects are very common and others are rather rare or out of time, but what they all have in common is that they do not get a lot of attention. People use them, but don‘t care about them or really look at them. They are just there. We expose them, like art, and thereby change the visitor‘s view.
We want to, on the one hand, show their specific forms and on the other hand explain how to use the objects. On each poster you can find little instructions, sometimes serious, sometimes funny, written, drawn or photographed, explaining how to use the object. The posters have two layers. On the front page there is text and information about the object and on the second layer, from which can be seen a 5 mm border, there is another object hidden on a coloured paper, leading to another poster.
